Summer is coming quickly, which means it is time to get your pool ready! Make the most of of your pool this summer with the help from Total Pro Pools on pool opening in the niagara region. They assist all customers with pool opening, regular maintenance, and pool closings – so you can focus more on fun with your family!
Enjoy summer activities like our top fun swimming pool games below:
Colours: This is a classic pool game. One player stands outside the pool, with the back facing the pool. The rest of the players are inside the pool against the wall, and have to pick their favourite colour (but “shh” it’s a secret.) The player outside the pool then begins yelling out colours, if the players inside the pool hears their colours, then need to quickly swim to the other side. When the outside player hears movement, they jump in the water and try to tag them!
Popsicle: This is played like freeze tag, but inside the water!
Octopus: Similar to red rover, players have to try to move from one side of the pool to the other without getting tagged. If they are tagged, they must join the players in the middle and hold hands.
Mr. Shark: This is exactly the same as playing Mr. Wolf, but the player’s say Mr./Mrs. Shark instead.
Barracuda: Grab a bunch of pool toys that sink. Have one person in the middle (pick the best swimmer) guard the toys that have fallen to the bottom of the pool. Then, the other players have to try and steal the toys and head back to their ‘side’. Don’t get caught, or you’ll be sent to ‘jail’ until another player tags you back in!
Mermaid Race: See who can swim the longest underwater to the other side of the pool.
Invisi-bottle: Grab an empty water bottle that has similar colours to the pool liner. Make sure all the players are out of the pool, and throw it in. Then have all the players try and find it. It’s harder than it seems as it blends in with the liner!
